The experimental Corvette Stingray was built in 1959 to explore the limits of handling and performance of the future Corvettes. This concept car was designed and built by then V.P. of GM styling, Bill Mitchell. Powered by a fuel injected Chevy V-8, the Stingray was raced at laguna Seca, Lime Rock and more. After its racing days, the Stingray was retired and is now part of the vintage concept car collection at General Motors Design Center.
