Bobby Isaac's racing career started in 1961. By 1977 Bobby was part of Nord Krauskopf's, K&K Insurance racing team. As it turned out, Norm and Harry Hyde, the teams chief mechanic picked one of the very best in Bobby Isaac. Racing car #71, a Hemi powered, 1969 Dodge Daytona, they racked up 11 Nascar victories! In 47 races Bobby finished in the top 10 an incredible 38 times. In 1970, Bobby drove Dodge Daytona car to a new world record. On the 22nd lap, the #71 car was clocked at 201.104 mph at the Talladega, AL track setting a new world speed record.

Through a 15 year career, Bobby Isaac won 37 NASCAR Winston Cup Series Races which ranks him 15th on the all-time win list. In 1970, Isaac topped the field to win the Nascar Winston Cup Series Championship. Isaac also set a single-season record on pole positions won with 20 in 1969. In 1979 Isaac was inducted in the National Motorsports Press Association Hall Of Fame at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. In 1996, Isaac was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in Talladega, Al.
