Freddie Agabashian was born in California’s Central Valley but moved to the San Francisco Bay Area of Berkeley, California at an early age. While still attending Berkeley High School (1931) he began an auto-racing career that lasted until 1958. Most of Freddie’s racing was centered in the Greater San Francisco/Northern California area with the exception of his Indianapolis racing career. A handsome and personable man, Freddie was one of the West Coast’s most popular racing drivers
