Precision Miniatures / "Pure Hell" Fuel Altered Dragster / 1:18th Scale
Red

“Bad boys” like the short-wheelbase 1300 horsepower Fuel Altereds that used to compete in NHRA, AHRA, and 1320 meets during the mid-late 60’s. One of the true standouts of this class was Rich Guasco’s “Pure Hell” driven by Dale “The Snail” Emery. Starting with a blown small-block Chevy in 1964, Guasco soon figured out that he needed Chrysler Hemi power if he was going to run with the big dogs. Engine swap complete, “Pure Hell” was at the top of a handful of Fuel Altereds that would often post times that were in the league with the AA/Fuel Dragsters. And the drivers had to be a lot crazier to pilot these out-of-control rockets.
The very-complicated plumbing on the fuel injector, the beautiful metalflake paint, the detailed cockpit with the seat belt set , the polished magnesium-colored rear. Halibrands and the spoked American mags on the front all look exactly like the real deal. The replicated decals are so good you can read the phone number off of the tiny “Del Rio Customs” decal that was 2”x3” on the real car.
