Danbury Mint / 1969 Corvette Convertible / Limited Edition 5,000 / DM Discontinued / 1:24th Scale
Monza Red

This was a bold move for Chevrolet. The styling on the Stingray from 1963 through 1967 was extremely popular if not fresh after five years. Bill Mitchell had earlier envisioned the upcoming replacement, incorporating the styling of the Mako Shark II with Zora Duntov's engineering accomplishments. The lean car with long flowing fenders, highly arched over the wheels, made for a street car deserving of desire.
