Danbury Mint / 1957 Chevrolet Pro Street Machine - Rod & Custom / DM Discontinued / 1:24th Scale
Yellow
The car is bright yellow with a primarily stock body including all the usual Bel Air trim. The model bears a striking resemblance to the old Super Chevy Shootout Thundercraft Pro Modified Rob Vandergriff in the late '80's and the USA-1 interiors / SoffSeal car which we sponsored in 1990-'91.( All you need is the decals and some minor alterations.) This model features a cut-out hood, painted bumpers and headlight doors. The 57 Pro Street really hugs the ground on its altered chassis, narrowed read end and monster tires. A rear view shows detailing which includes a wheelie bar (with operable wheels), cloth wrapped parachute, and rear bumper-mounted battery shut-off switch. The trunk contains the fuel cell, pump and dual batteries.
Powered by a blown big block Chevy with dual quad carbs rising up through the hood opening, an optional cold air intake is included. The engine detail is unbelievable, including ignition wiring, fuel lines, throttle linkage, brake lines, overflow tube, electric fan and more. The interior is no less detailed with full roll cage, competition tach, over-rev light, parachute release, racing pedals, competition seat belts, and a nitrous bottle where the back seat used to be. You have got to see this model to believe it. It ranks #1 with most collectors as the state of the art diecast model.
