ACME presents an Altered state of mind with it's first release of the new Altered cars! the Long Beach, California based Reath Automotive Fiat, was the creation of Don Ratican, Bill Jackson, and driver Ronnie Stearns. it was classified as an A/Altered as opposed to the AA/A designation later given to blown cars. Competing against other standouts of the era, including Gabby Bleeker of Chicago and Louisiana racer Boogie Scott, it won class honors at the1960 NHRA Nationals in Detroit and the first NHRA Nationals held at Indianapolis Raceway Park in 1961.
