GMP 1989 Ford 25th Anniversary Ford Trans-Am Mustang #25 Schroeder. Limited Edition 1,000 that is now DISCONTINUED. The 1989 season saw the Trans-Am return to its roots, as American car manufacturers Ford, Oldsmobile and Chevrolet went head-to-head in a battle that was reminiscent of the Trans- Am glory years. Ford capped a 25th anniversary celebration for the Mustang by scoring its first Trans-Am Manufacturers Championship since 1970. Dorsey Schroeder, Ford's lead driver, entered the season as a relatively unknown Trans-Am rookie, but by the end of the season he had six victories and a Trans-Am Drivers' Championship to his credit.
