Highway 61/1967 Oldsmobile 442 Hardtop /1:18th scale-Approx 11"

Provencial White

In 1967, the luxury version of the intermediate Oldsmobile F-85, the Cutlass, attained series status of its own and began the climb to one of the most popular nameplates for a U.S. car ever. This success was in part due to the high performance 4-4-2 version of the 1967 Cutlass Supreme. The 4-4-2 first made its debut in 1964 to compete with the hot-selling new Pontiac GTO. By 1967, the 4-4-2 had achieved true muscle car status with a 440-ft.lb. torque, 350hp, 400 cubic inch V-8 engine with a 10.5 compression ratio, and hydraulic lifters. A special Turbo Hydra-matic transmission, a beefed-up 12 bolt rear end and F70-14 wide ovals made the 1967 4-4-2 a street performer of the first order. This precision diecast features include opening hood with correct hinges , doors that snap closed on realistic hinges, fully-detailed engine and interior, steerable wheels. Most Highway 61 replicas feature other surprises like working suspension, opening glove box or console doors, movable sun-visors, and a turning drive shaft and rear wheels.
