Highway 61 / 1946 GMC Dump Truck Late WWII / 1:16 Scale
Navajo Orange & Silver

First introduced in the fall of 1940, these trucks featured all-new styling, influenced by the Art Deco period of industrial design. The sealed-beam headlights were streamlined into the fenders, instead of mounted on top as on previous models. A 90-hp, 216 c.i. straight six cylinder engine was standard in the ChevyŽ, with an optional 93-hp 235 c.i. "Load Master" that generated 192 ft./lbs. of torque. Three different engines were available in the GMC version, topping out at 270 c.i. Production ran until May of 1947, when they were replaced with the "Advance Design Series" of trucks.
Dump bed operates from lever inside of cab. Tailgate opens from top and bottom, using chain and lever release action. Woodgrained sideboards are removeable. Includes dual mud & snow tires on rear and scoop shovel.
