Lane Exact Detail / 1967 Chevy "Crusher" Camaro - Hot Rod Magazine / Limited Edition 1,500 / 1:18th Scale

Yellow

1:18th Scale; Dimensions approximately L-10, W-4, H-3.5 inches.

Much more than just another pretty face, the Crusher Camaro has a definite story to tell, but the topic is not readily apparent at first glance. The Crusher is not unlike the multitude of other similarly modified 1967-68 Camaro that abound at car shows, drag strips and cruiser hangouts all across the country. Its smooth yellow finish, modern wheels and tires and big block engine swap, while very impressive and nicely done do not really set this car apart from many of the other Camaro street warriors that show up to square off on Saturday nights. It is not until we take a look into the Crusher's checkered past that we will learn that, until its last minute reprieve, this little '67 Camaro was perilously close to being crushed, cubed, shredded and enduring whatever other indignities that befall cars needlessly destroyed in the name of vehicle scrappage and environmental purity. Through the intervention of the staff at Hot Rod Magazine, the Crusher Camaro escaped the scrap heap to be reborn, rebuilt, restored and repowered as a formidable street thumper with 750 + gross horsepower on tap and the drivetrain, suspension and brakes to reign in all that muscle. Model features include "Crusher" big block motor, fully wired Optima battery in trunk, polished Billet Specialties Wheels, modern design low profile tires, detailed interior with roll bar, pressed steel steering wheel, plaid style trunk mat, and cowl induction hood.
